The starting point
When we said rough…!
Badly varnished stock over damage and damp/mould
Pretty bad!
Rusty, badly sanded and cold blued over it all!
Not pretty!
Old finish being stripped
Stripped and sanded!
First coat of dye (american walnut) to bring outgrain and highlight any issues
Building up the colour with Cedar dye
Lacquered and ready for fitting new recoil pad
