Action components re-blued

It is not my intention to cover this process in detail, as it’s how I earn my money!

The plan was to reduce the visual impact of the corrosion, and end up with a consistent overall colour to improve the rifles appearance. Being a tinplate weapon there is insufficient material to polish back deeply enough to remove all the pitting.

The woodwork was stripped back, smoothed with abrasive paper then wire wool, stained, fed, then sealed with stock oil.

Finally, all the internals were correctly lubricated, and that all important breech seal replaced!
